5 reasons to march in Pride'16 with EQ

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Rainbows everywhere, spirit is at an all time high, and the community is sticking together - even through tough times. But why march in the parade? And why march with EngiQueers?

1. Voice your opinion loudly and proudly; love is love!

There are few occasions where simply presence speaks volumes - but Pride most certainly is one of them! Feel the energy walking through hundreds and hundreds of people who are there to witness a unique display of love and being who you are!

2. Mingle with Engineering students all across Ontario

Did you know that Waterloo, Ryerson, UofT, Guelph and Western have all signed up already?? And there are plenty of opportunities to say hello to them! Meet new people, share stories and make new likeminded friends.

3. Support a grassroots, and young organiztion; McMaster EngiQueers!

Us at EQ are super duper passionate about what we do; but we know that we're still a very young organization. The more support we get, the more opportunity we have to continue to grow as a community, as a service and as people! By marching with us in Pride, you are blatantly showing your support for us existing; and that truly goes a very long way.

4. March for those who wish they could; but can't

Whether it's those who've lost their lives to hate crimes, those who are in countires where it's illegal to be gay, let alone legal to express themselves openly in such a public way, or simply those who are worried about the consequences of marching in a parade; march for them. Lift their spirits by making Pride 2016 as beautiful of an event as it can be!

5. Have so so so SO much fun!!

Ask anyone who's ever been; Pride is a blast and a half! Sing, dance, cheer, shake your groove thing and never stop grinning from ear to ear! We assure you that if you have half as much fun as we do, you'll have the time of your life!

So what are you waiting for?!?! Sign up here now!
